Students Attend Food Summit

VOICE Students Attend Food Summit

Aug 18, 2019 | Food and Water, Health News

VOICE student co-researchers, Kimberly Rutledge and Desiree Amaral, joined 70 students from across Canada at the National Student Food Summit held at McMaster University. The conference provided an opportunity learn about Meal Exchange Canada, a charity that works with student leaders to transform the food on their campuses, with a focus on sustainability and local procurement. Kimberly and Desiree were able to network with student leaders within the food movement, learn from professionals who are cultivating change within their respective systems, and gather important tools to bring back and further the work they are doing with VOICE on our campus to improve food security.
